Self-Defence Course with Matrix Martial Arts

Please note - due to Covid 19 restrictions we cannot guarantee that all of our training classes will be able to take place in exactly the way they would in normal times. However we are continuing with all of our training classes, which may include a combination of in-person 1-2-1 training, group classes and video classes.

No-one should be scared to take their dogs for a walk for fear of being attacked or for fear of their dogs being stolen, but sadly this is sometimes the case. A huge part of the joy of dog ownership is walking and we should all be able to do that whenever and wherever we want to.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to kickboxing, so definitely time to refresh my skills, and I thought it might help empower us to feel safer about taking our dogs out, knowing how to protect ourselves and our precious pooches!

I’ve been in touch with my sensei Jake Johnson who is a 3rd Dan Blackbelt, World Champion Kickboxer and freestyle martial arts instructor and he has very kindly agreed to teach a Self-Defence Course to help us reclaim our dog walks!

Sensei Jake runs Glossop based Matrix Martial Arts has many years experience and the aim of the course is to help you feel safe in public. He is also a generally great guy and absolutely no experience is needed for this course.

I’m really looking forward to it, and hope you can join me. Due to Covid restrictions we will have to limit numbers. The course is starts on Sunday 6th June at 9.30am, will last for 6 weeks and will be held at our venue, Glossop North End Football Club.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Lets do this!
