Booking and Payment

  1. Fees are payable in advance by bank transfer or by booking online.
  2. Payments for dog training services are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. You will receive an e-mail confirmation upon booking.
  4. If in an emergency we are forced to cancel any training we will offer an alternative date.
  5. There will be no partial refunds or transfers for missed classes, or for home training cancellations with less than 72 hours notice.
  6. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
  7. Please make a note of the date and time of class upon booking to ensure you attend the correct course.
  8. If we find that the class environment does not suit your dog or puppy we will discuss with you the best option going forward with your training.
  9. In providing your e-mail address we may add you to our mailing list to keep you up to date with news, events and special offers. Please let us know if you would not like us to do this.

Dog Walking Terms and Conditions

  1. The Puppy Nanny at Contented Canines will not be held responsible for any illness, injury or loss of dog(s) and will not be held liable for any expenses incurred. I agree that no liability will be held by The Puppy Nanny at Contented Canines and that I will be held fully responsible for any costs incurred including vets fees.
  2. During your absence The Puppy Nanny at Contented Canines may act as guardian of your dog(s) and may take any action considered necessary to protect your dog(s) and to keep it/them in good health.
  3. The Puppy Nanny at Contented Canines may hold keys for your property. Copies of these keys may be made with your permission, and you may ask for all copies of these keys to be returned at any time.
  4. Bitches in season will not be walked outside of your property, and entire male dogs will not be walked off-lead unless at your own risk.
  5. Dog walking services will be paid for upon booking via our booking app.
  6. You must provide full and honest information regarding your dog(s) and their behaviour.
  7. Please provide equipment required for dog walking in an easy to find place, As a minimum this must include collar with ID tag and lead, and a towel for drying your dog. (If your dog pulls on the lead, we would also request that you provide a harness or headcollar)
  8. Failure to provide the equipment above may mean that we are unable to walk your dog, in which case we would as a minimum provide a garden play and toilet break.
  9. Dogs will be walked by fully trained and competent members of our dog walking team. The individual walker may vary from day to day for your dog
  10. We will endeavour to walk your dog as near as possible to your preferred time. This may be up to an hour before or an hour after your preferred time.
  11. Please give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation of walks. Walks cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
  12. If in an emergency we are unable to walk your dog as planned we will endeavour to speak to you to make alternative arrangements, or alter the time or duration of the walk. If this is not possible we will ensure that your dog has a minimum visit of a 5 minute toilet break free of charge
  13. You will be responsible for veterinary fees should your dog require veterinary treatment whilst in the care of The Puppy Nanny at Contented Canines.
  14. Reasonable efforts will be made to speak to you (or an emergency contact) before any treatment takes place. If this is not possible we reserve the right to act on the advice of the veterinary surgeon.
  15. We cannot be held responsible for loss or straying if permission is given for off lead walking
  16. Entire male dogs will not be allowed off-lead unless at owners risk
  17. Bitches in season will not be walked – we will do a home and garden visit instead for the allotted amount of time
  18. You will be liable for any damage/injury caused by your dog to a third party person or dog.
  19. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

Legal and Safety

  1. Dogs and puppies who attend our training venues must be fully up to date with vaccinations and we may require proof.
  2. Choke/check chains, pinch collars and extendable leads can be dangerous and have the potential to injure dogs and owners and will not be allowed in training
  3. Shouting at, manhandling of, or punishment of your dog leads to a breakdown in the relationship between dog and owner and will not be allowed in training
  4. Please be responsible for your child and supervise any training. Carefully supervise your dog around other people’s children.
  5. Your dog or puppy must wear a collar with ID tag and lead. It is a legal requirement for your dog to wear and ID tag with your details on.
  6. Dogs must be kept on lead and under control at all times in class unless instructed otherwise by the trainer. Owners hold full responsibility for their dog at all times.

Training Rules

  1. Please make every effort to attend all training sessions and complete the course in order to get the best results.
  2. If your dog pulls on the lead, we would recommend using a harness or headcollar.
  3. All instances of accident or injury must be reported at the time they occurred.
  4. Please clean up after your dog if it toilets on our premises or in the surrounding area.
  5. Please bring plenty of treats for training and be generous with your rewards!
  6. Please don’t let your dog approach another dog without checking with the owner that it is safe to do so.
  7. Regular practice in between training sessions will help your dogs progress.
  8. We may wish to photograph your dog for or records and marketing purposes. If you do not wish for us to do this please let us know.

Liability

  1. Dogs must not be brought to class if they are unwell, or if they are in season. We suggest that owners still attend without their dogs – this helps with continuation of training
  2. You will be liable for any damage / injury caused by your dog(s) to a third party person or dog.
  3. We make every effort to ensure the safety of you and your dog or puppy during classes, but sometimes accidents do happen.
  4. By making a booking, you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, puppies, children and adults poses a risk of injury to yourself and your puppy, and you agree to indemnify The Puppy Nanny for all personal injury and damage to property owned by you while attending the training classes. You also agree to make any person who accompanies you to the class aware that they are also there at their own risk.
